Heineken is one of the world’s leading international brewers, tracing its roots back to 1864. Wth a presence in almost every country on earth, Heineken is the most valuable international beer brand. As a sponsor of the 2006 NYU Stern ProMotion Pictures Film Competition, Heineken endowed graduate students from NYU Stern and NYU Kanbar with the opportunity to create films in three categories: comedy, urban drama, and documentary. Upon screening, the Independent Film Channel (IFC) agreed to air the films on its television network.

With its cool, seductive fragrances and packaging, AXE has established itself as the world's top male grooming brand. In sponsoring the 2005-2006 NYU Stern ProMotion Pictures Film Competition, AXE gave graduate students from NYU Stern and NYU Kanbar the opportunity to push the boundaries of branded entertainment and create innovative content the appeals to AXE's 18-to-24 target male demographic. Dubbed "AXE Attractions," the three winning films offer different interpretations of the "AXE Effect," the process by which AXE products give guys the edge in the mating game.

Verizon Broadband Films
 


 

Verizon Communications Inc., one of the world's leading providers of communications services, sponsored the 2004-2005 NYU Stern ProMotion Pictures Film Competition. Verizon’s sponsorship presented an opportunity for NYU Stern and NYU Kanbar students to develop branded films that communicate the power of broadband to transform lives. The broadband films supported Verizon Broadband’s multi-media "Richer. Deeper. Broader." campaign that debuted in June 2005.

R/GA, Verizon’s interactive marketing agency, developed a Web site for Verizon Broadband films ( www.verizonbroadbandfilms.com ) to showcase the three finished films, filmmakers’ bios, journal entries from the filmmakers themselves and a documentary featuring the making of the films. R/GA ( www.rga.com ) is the New York-based advertising agency that serves as the lead digital partner for Fortune 500 companies and world-class brands. R/GA focuses on creating optimized, user-centric experiences that sell products, engage customers and build brands across channels, from the Web to broadband/enhanced television and wireless devices.

The Verizon Broadband Films are part of the overarching Broadband Stories site—where users share insights on the positive effects of broadband on everyday life. More clips of the students and their use of broadband in the filmmaking process will be posted in the “movies” section of www.broadbandstories.com .

Volvo Films
 


 


ProMotion Pictures welcomed Euro RSCG Worldwide and its client Volvo Cars of North America as the sponsor of the first annual ProMotion Pictures Film Competition in 2003. Volvo leveraged the branded films created from the competition to launch the Volvo V50 in North America.
